After trying to decide on which one to start with I ended up just choosing randomly and ended up with wowgasm. I'm hoping i can manage to get at least a little something done in the next couple days. It would be hard for me to give a fair review without having a chance to participate in at least a little higher level content.
WoWgasm has a total of 5 servers, though i was only able to locate 3 of them. According to their forums however this is due too them changing over the other 2 from Mangos too Ascent. The 3 servers that are live are Nexus, Karazhan and BlackTemple.
Nexus being a funserver has a level cap of 254, 2 custom lvling areas and a "shopping centre" per faction. I was able to find customized weapons of each type (bows, swords, maces etc.) to carry you up too your maximum level, however i wasnt able to find any custom armor so it should be interesting how things work out at higher levels. I know from roaming their website that you can donate for some custom armor and weapons but i havent had a chance to see any yet since i was only on long enough to see what things were about.
Black Temple is the 2nd Wowgasm server and is instant 70. Your gonna have to lvl your skills yourself but it shouldnt take too long. I didnt find a "shopping centre' so your also going to have to work for your gear. I did see a few players that were pretty well equiped so theres certainly people running raids, so for those who enjoy raiding and arent that fond of leveling this may be your best choice of the 3 servers.
Karazhan being the final Wowgasm server available is a highrate "Blizz-like" server. You have to level yourself to 70 as well as raid for your gear. Again no "shopping centre" here. I didnt see quite as many people running around as i did on the other 2 servers, but again i saw quite a few people that were pretty well equiped so theres most likely raids being run as well.

WoW Private Server Review is a blog developed to inform people of the status of various WoW Private Servers. I intend to visit each server and play there for a couple days (when possible) in order to post a reasonable review of the service and experiences I have. I hated to rely on the Top Server lists for which ones i would try, and hopefully i can keep others from having to do the same.

- Like the name suggests, im your Average Joe. Work too much and play too little. I prefer to play private servers these days, I got tired of retail after 2 1/2 years but found theres alot of differences between retail and private. The custom work can be pretty impressive. I would suggest checking em out even if you still play retail, you'll be surprised.
