After trying to decide on which one to start with I ended up just choosing randomly and ended up with wowgasm. I'm hoping i can manage to get at least a little something done in the next couple days. It would be hard for me to give a fair review without having a chance to participate in at least a little higher level content.

WoWgasm has a total of 5 servers, though i was only able to locate 3 of them. According to their forums however this is due too them changing over the other 2 from Mangos too Ascent. The 3 servers that are live are Nexus, Karazhan and BlackTemple.

Nexus being a funserver has a level cap of 254, 2 custom lvling areas and a "shopping centre" per faction. I was able to find customized weapons of each type (bows, swords, maces etc.) to carry you up too your maximum level, however i wasnt able to find any custom armor so it should be interesting how things work out at higher levels. I know from roaming their website that you can donate for some custom armor and weapons but i havent had a chance to see any yet since i was only on long enough to see what things were about.

Black Temple is the 2nd Wowgasm server and is instant 70. Your gonna have to lvl your skills yourself but it shouldnt take too long. I didnt find a "shopping centre' so your also going to have to work for your gear. I did see a few players that were pretty well equiped so theres certainly people running raids, so for those who enjoy raiding and arent that fond of leveling this may be your best choice of the 3 servers.

Karazhan being the final Wowgasm server available is a highrate "Blizz-like" server. You have to level yourself to 70 as well as raid for your gear. Again no "shopping centre" here. I didnt see quite as many people running around as i did on the other 2 servers, but again i saw quite a few people that were pretty well equiped so theres most likely raids being run as well.

When i first decided to start this Blog it was out of frustration. I had been spending alot of time I normally set aside for playing wow trying to find a suitable server for myself. Too much downtime on this one, too much lag on that one. The typical stuff you might expect from a private server.

I tried looking for reviews and found none, just a bunch of websites where people could vote to have their favorite server listed as #1. Finally i decided i was gonna put together a review site. Why not spend some time trying out different servers, see what they were like and put out a review for each one that i visited. No more bribing the members of your server to get you noticed...yes i did say bribe. A couple of these servers actually give rewards for voting. I would figure if you enjoy playing there you would vote to keep the server alive, but hey I guess they cant all stay up that way.

My hope is to help others find a server they enjoy playing on, and not make people rely on those misleading lists. Because im sure there are many other good servers out there that arent in the top 20 let alone the top 10.
